Well, lo and behold, from 160 pounds, in 3 months, I'm down to 126 ppounds!! Not bad huh?

The program lasts for 90 days of intense workout and includes a nutrition and diet plan to get optimal results. It uses muscle confusion in which exercises are switched so as not to allow the body to adapt to the exercise immediately. The program includes cardio, yoga, strenght training, and pylometrics all in 12 DVDs.

This has been a life saver for me. I have never felt this healthy before! And I am sure you would too. For results, why not try the P90X program! About Author

Warding off the Weight with Pills

This article discusses how to maintain a healthy weight using Phentermine. It outlines the conditions under which you should use weight loss drugs to stay thin.

Many people can manage to lose 20 lbs, but then it comes right back. Sometimes, no matter how determined you are to stick to your diet or exercise routine, you just can't manage to stay trim. The main reason for this is that most people don't significantly change their lifestyle. External influences?stress at work, grief from family problems, depression?can often make people jump right back into the same old boat: binge eating, microwave dinners, excessive television watching, and general laziness.

The biggest problem when it comes to maintaining weight is that identifying the problems isn't really all that helpful. Most people can't just leave their job. You probably don't want to leave your family either. So what do you do?

Turn to medicine.
? Big project coming up at work?
? Have a family member that is dying or has passed away?
? Moving to a new home?
? Picked up a second job to pay the bills?
? Super-busy with classes and studying?

Situations like these come up in every life at some time or another. There is no harm in getting a little help.

There are a number of good weight loss drugs on the market. However, some of them have adverse effects on your body and life and should only be used in extreme cases. Most of the rest don't really help to maintain a healthy weight. You could end up losing too much weight, and then the bounce-back to your flabby old self is even worse.

Why does stress cause weight gain? It has to do with the natural fight or flight response. When your brain feels stress, it alters the types of hormones in the body. This includes cortisol, the major stress hormone responsible for weight gain. Specifically, stress hormones impact your weight in these specific ways:

? Metabolism ? Your metabolism can slow down causing more calorie storage as fat.
? Cravings ? Your body will demand especially sweet, fatty, or salty foods.
? Blood sugar ? Changes in your blood sugar from stress can make a big impact on your eating habits.
? Exercise ? The hormones stymy your motivation to go for a jog or bike ride.
? Emotional eating ? Stress is what causes you to binge on potato chips, ice cream, and brownies.

A potential option is to use Phentermine. Though it is known as a short-term weight loss drug, doctors have been known to prescribe it for patients who need help maintaining weight over an especially stressful or busy period of time. Talk to your physician about the possibility of using Phentermine to get through an especially difficult time without gaining back all the weight you struggled to lose.

Phentermine is approved for short-term weight loss by the FDA, but like many prescription medications, it is used off-label for other reasons. Do not use it in any other way than advised however, because prolonged use can increase the risk of developing heart, lung, liver, or kidney problems. If you already suffer from cancer, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, or similar problems, this might not be the way to go, but discuss your options with your doctor. About Author

Ways To Burn Calories - Physical Movement And Exercise Is Important For All - Adults And Children

Ways to burn calories reduces to physical movement and exercise. It is important for all of us...adults and children.

There are, however, a few more difficulties involved in remaining physically active for those who are unusually heavy (morbid obesity):

? Self-esteem issues may prevent you from participating in group activities.

? Movement, such as bending or brisk walking, may be difficult.

? Clothes suitable for exercise may be hard to find.

? Depression may cause lack of motivation to even make the effort.

? Discouragement causes one to feel hopeless that anything will make any difference.

So, what is the larger person to do? Should you just abandon the effort and "resign yourself to your fate"?

Exercise is essential for all living beings. We are not designed to be sedentary. Further, people who are overweight to any extent are at more risk of developing illnesses associated with weight: diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, arthritis, sleep disorders, gall bladder disease, and even some types of cancer.

What are the benefits if you "get on the move"? In addition to losing weight and reducing risk of disease as discussed above, take a look at this benefits:

? Improves mood and self-esteem.

? Increases energy.

? Helps to reduce blood pressure.

? Aids in the control of blood sugar.

? Improves balance and flexibility.

? Strengthens and conditions bones, muscles, and joints.

Convinced? Let's get started!

1. Walk. Start slowly if you have been completely sedentary. (If you have been ill or suffer from breathing difficulties or heart disease, check with your doctor first, just so he knows what you're doing. It's unlikely he will tell you to continue to sit or lie perfectly still all day.) Start with only five minutes at a time and build up to ten minutes, and then fifteen. Walking is a safe and comfortable way to begin to get yourself moving. If you wish, ask a friend to walk with you. Don't race...don't even get out of breath. Just start walking. (If you have large thighs you may need liners or shorts to prevent skin irritation of your inner thighs).

2. Water exercise. If you have access to a gym with a pool (check with your local YMCA) count yourself fortunate and sign up immediately. Exercising in water is an excellent way to get yourself moving without undue stress on muscles or joints. Water provides natural resistance for toning of muscles and flexibility of joints.

3. Yoga exercises. Check your community resources for classes. Yoga is a gentle way to begin to get your body moving without undue stress on muscles and joints that have become accustomed to inactivity.

4. Limit the amount of time you spend watching TV or using the computer. You are more likely to feel an urge to get moving if you are not engaged in a pleasant activity. Set certain hours of the day for screen time and in the off times, get moving...even if you're walking around your house or lifting small hand weights.

5. If you are too large at this time to engage in much movement, participate in chair exercises available every morning on several TV stations.

Remember your goal...you're striving for a mere five percent of your body weight. You can do it...start right now! About Author

Ways to Lose Weight Quickly in Fitness Camps

There are special programs that are conducted in fitness camps for adults, teens and kids which aid to quickly losing weight. Obesity today has become a major problem in the world. This is because of the lifestyles that we lead that have reduced the physical activity that we do.

Almost everything that we do today is accomplished with the touch of a button. There is hardly any physical activity involved. Also the diet that is integrated into our system today is not helping the cause. Most of the stuff that we are eating is either deep fried in oil or is filled with fats that add on to our body mass. When we are not performing any physical activity, all this fat is unused and stored in our body.

As a result, we start gaining weight and lose our shape. This is where fitness camps come in. If we want to get back in shape in a short period of time then fitness camps are the best options. You might think of dieting or joining a gym. All this might work but they require a lot of commitment from your side. Also many today do not have the time to join a gym or cannot just afford to keep their minds on a diet. Therefore you need to be in an environment which motivates you to exercise and to keep fit. A fitness camp is just that environment that will get you the results that you are looking for with a personal trainer who would take care of your needs.

There are many people who avoid fitness camps. This is because these camps have been stereotyped as being militaristic and hard on people. However, this is a very wrong notion. Gone are the days when fitness camps used to be a punishment for people who were overweight. Nowadays, these camps are not just meant for people who are overweight but for anyone that is looking to get in shape. These camps are often held at exotic locations that can be compared to a holiday resort.

You will be put in groups that are best suited to your needs. Complete with aerobics, spa treatment, Jacuzzi and other body therapy, your body will be put through a state of relaxation that will help you rejuvenate yourself and make sure that you are ready for the day?s workout.

It is another myth again that you are pushed to your limits and worked out to your bone in fitness camps. It is true that you are going to be working hard but no one is going to force you to work hard. You will work hard with your own motivation and at your own pace.

You will have a fitness coach with you who will work with you and support your regime. You will be self motivated to lose weight and work extra hard so that you get back in shape. This is the secret as to why weight loss camps today are so successful in helping people lose weight. About Author

Weight Loss And Exercise - There Are Many Benefits Of Simple Exercise And A Healthy Diet

Sometimes folks who are especially large feel that they aren't able to do exercise. This is not true... no matter what your size, there is an activity for you.

You just need to set up a different plan for yourself. Ignore all of the twisting and bending and jumping that other people are doing. Your plan is the right one for you!

It is important that you come up with a workable plan for yourself because the more extra weight we carry, the greater likelihood that we will develop one of the illnesses that have been shown to be associated with obesity: diabetes, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, arthritis, and even some kinds of cancer.

Along with reducing the risk of these diseases, exercise has other benefits:
- More energy
- Improved breathing
- Better sleep
- Reduced stress
- Improved mood
- Lowering of blood pressure
- Stability of blood sugar
- Improved balance and flexibility
- Better self esteem.
Your new program will consist of two phases: the first is the reduction of calories consumed...that is, you need to eat less. Secondly, you need to increase the number of calories that you use up. This is done by exercise.

We're discussed tips for reducing calories on several occasions in the past. Let's focus this time on exercise. Regardless of size, your excuses for not exercising are probably very similar to those of your less large counterparts.

Let's look at two:

You feel you don't have enough time to exercise. Do you have time to be sick? Probably not. Don't over-estimate the amount of time involved in exercise. Exercise is as much a mind-set as a planned activity. Don't even think about training for a marathon or bench-pressing three hundred pounds! Instead, plan on a walk at lunch time. Don't take the elevator unless you work on the twentieth floor. Even so, get out on eighteen and walk the rest of the way. Use the restroom on another floor. Park at a more distant place in the parking lot. Don't sit for more than an hour at a time...get up and move. Every little bit uses up a few calories. Beside this you can do some of the daily routine works physically rather than taking the help of machine, for e.g. Washing the clothes, or cleaning the house, because this is the best method of losing the calorie.

You don't like to exercise. Well, nobody else does either. This is an issue of health we are talking about. I'll just bet you don't like to get up in the morning for work either, do you? Does that mean you don't get up? Of course not, you must go to work or you will lose your job. Well, you must exercise or you will lose your health! How bad can it be to walk around the block? How awful is it to use hand weights while you're watching TV. Is it out of the question to make two trips to the basement floor instead of stacking up items on the stairway for someone to take with them when they go down stairs? Think movement. It will add up. Your scale and your health will appreciate the effort. About Author

Weight Loss Plan - Few Apples A Day, Keep The Fat Away

Apples are low in calories and fat, low in sodium, and contain vitamins and minerals as well as fiber. These can all help you to lose weight in different methods. Apples are a low-sodium food that can be a good addition to a healthy diet.

Apples are low in calories and fat, low in sodium, and contain vitamins and minerals as well as fiber. These can all help you to lose weight in different methods. The fiber helps you feel full longer because it expands in your stomach so it takes less food to satisfy your hunger. Apples are a low-sodium food that can be a good addition to a healthy diet. Keeping your sodium low will help prevent excess water weight, or retention. And, the vitamins benefit you by increasing health and vitality. Of course, being active helps burn extra calories to speed up weight loss.

Role of pectin - How do these fruits help in weight loss?

Apples, berries and other fresh fruits contain a natural substance called pectin in their walls / skins.
Pectin is defined as a carbohydrate that lacks calories. It is also a reliable source of fiber, which is a prime ingredient of a healthy diet.

Pectin limits the amount of fat your cells can absorb, putting a natural limitation on the amount of fat your cells can absorb. Pectin, once in your system, also has a water binding property i.e. it absorbs watery substances, and these watery substances in turn bombard the cells and make them release fat deposits. Eventually, pectin causes the stomach to empty more slowly. As a result, after you consume pectin, you feel satisfied for a lengthy period of time. This means that you will ultimately eat less, leading to weight loss. Research has shown that a small dose of pectin will do the trick?as little as a single teaspoon can enable you to feel satisfied.

Research & scientific studies

Research from the Rio de Janeiro state university reported that over-weight women who just ate 300 grams of apples or fresh pears (equivalent to 3 fruits daily) lost more weight on a low-calorie diet than women who didn?t add fruits to their diets. Also, these fruit eaters consumed fewer calories overall, boosting their weight loss efforts.

Recommended quantity

While apples can be very good for fast weight loss, one should not get too carried away. Eat them in moderation. Maybe, eat 3-4 apples a day as snacks and/or before meals. About Author
